A lyric video for a tribute or memorial song

When a family writes a song for someone they lost, the words matter most. At a service or a gathering, a lyric video lets everyone follow them, even when it is hard to listen.

When it can help

  • A song written by a family member or a friend, played at a funeral, a memorial or an anniversary of a death.
  • A song made by a musician for your family, if they gave you the right to use it.
  • A private keepsake to share with relatives who could not be there.

Choosing a look

Quieter styles such as ink, watercolour or chalk usually sit better with a song like this. The look is your choice, and you can see it in the free preview before you decide anything. If it does not feel right, you can try up to 3 free versions, or simply stop.

Practical things

  • Ask the venue how they play video files, and test the file there with the sound on.
  • The video has words only: it does not use your photos, and it will not show a picture of the person.
  • Check names and dates in the text carefully. The video shows the words exactly as you paste them.

If you need it soon

We do not promise a delivery time, so please leave as much time as you can and order a preview early. If something goes wrong, write to support@lyriclip.co, and a person will read it.

Questions

Can I use a well known song that the person loved?

Not unless you hold the rights. We only make videos for songs you made, or that you own or control.

Can the video include a photo of the person?

No. Lyriclip makes the scenes and lettering from your lyrics and does not use uploaded photos.

What does it cost?

The preview is free. The full video is $29 per song, paid once. Any tax that applies is calculated at checkout.
