A lyric video for your wedding song

If a song was written for your wedding, its words are the point. A lyric video puts them on the big screen so every guest can follow them.

Text description of this video

A lyric video in three colourful worlds: a rainbow sky with clouds, a purple sunset over waves, and a burst of blue and teal rays. The words appear with the singing in large letters, and on the peak words the letters gather out of small particles. Small drawings sit beside the words they belong to: keys, a flower pot, a cat, a peach, shoes. An equalizer moves along the bottom edge. The song's audio plays with the video.

Where it fits on the day

  • On the screen at the reception, while the song plays.
  • As a surprise from the best man, the maid of honour or a sibling who wrote the song.
  • Before the first dance, so guests know the words they are about to hear.
  • Afterwards, as a keepsake to send to the guests who were there.

It has to be your song

Lyriclip only makes videos for songs you made, or that you own or control the rights to. That covers a song you wrote, one a friend or a musician wrote for you and gave you the rights to, or one you made with an AI music tool whose plan allows this use. It does not cover a famous love song, even if it is your song in the other sense.

What to prepare

  • The finished song as an audio file. A clean final mix works best, so finish the song first.
  • The lyrics as text, one line per sung line.
  • Names spelled the way you want them on screen. The video uses your words as you write them, so the names will appear exactly as typed.

Leave time to try it

Do not leave this for the last night. Start with the free preview of 12 to 15 seconds, pick a style, and try up to 3 free versions of it. Once you pay, you can still fix the lyrics and re-render up to 2 times at no charge, and that is much calmer a few weeks before the day.

For the screen at the venue

The full video is one 16:9 widescreen file in 1080p with no watermark, which suits a projector or a large TV. Ask the venue or the DJ how they play files and test it there beforehand, with the sound. The download link stays valid for 90 days.

Questions

Can I use the song we danced to at our engagement?

Only if you own or control its rights. We do not make videos for other people's songs, however much that song means to you.

Can the names of the couple appear in the video?

Yes, if they are in the lyrics you paste. The video shows the words you give us, the moment they are sung.

What does a wedding lyric video cost?

The same as any other song: the preview is free and the full video is $29 per song, paid once. Any tax that applies is calculated at checkout.
